The University Placement Cell is committed to ensuring equal and fair opportunities for all eligible students. In alignment with the vision of VR Siddhartha Engineering College, this policy promotes discipline, professional conduct, and industry readiness while maintaining trust with recruiting partners.

Objectives of the Placement Cell

    • To create a platform for students to explore suitable career opportunities in reputed companies.
    • To build and maintain strong industry linkages for campus recruitment, internships, and projects.
    • To enhance employability through structured training programs in technical skills, soft skills, and industry certifications.
    • To provide AI-enabled learning tools, practice platforms, and analytics to strengthen coding, aptitude, and problem-solving skills.
    • To organize regular mock interviews, group discussions, and mock tests simulating industry recruitment processes.
    • To design and implement skilling modules aligned with emerging industry trends such as AI/ML, Cloud Computing, Data Science, Cybersecurity, and Product Development.
    • To install discipline, professionalism, and ethical standards to meet corporate expectations.
    • To support students aspiring for higher studies, government services, or entrepreneurship along with placement opportunities.

Policy Guidelines

1. Registration

      • Students must register only through their Department Placement Coordinators within the notified deadline.
    • Registrations will be accepted only once; incomplete or false information will result in disqualification.
    • Only registered students will be considered for any placement activity.

2. Participation

    • Once registered, students must actively participate in all recruitment processes they apply for.
    • Withdrawal after registering for a company’s process is strictly prohibited.
    • Professional conduct, punctuality, and prescribed University dress code are mandatory.
    • Students must attend mandatory skilling programs, including:
    • AI-driven training platforms for coding, aptitude, and reasoning.
    • Soft skills sessions on communication, teamwork, adaptability, and leadership.
    • Mock interviews and mock tests designed on industry selection models.

3. De-Registration

    • Students wishing to opt out of placements (due to higher studies, government service, entrepreneurship, or personal reasons) must submit a written request through their Department Coordinator.
    • De-registration will be approved only after review by the Placement Cell.
    • Once de-registered, students cannot re-enter the placement process in the same academic year.

4. Blacklisting

    • Students who remain absent after registering for a company, decline after accepting an offer, or engage in misconduct will be blacklisted.
    • Blacklisted students lose all placement privileges and may face disciplinary action under university rules.

5. Authority

    • Department Placement Coordinators serve as the first point of contact for registration and withdrawal.
    • The Dean – Industry Relations & Training & Placement and the Head – Industry Relations & Placements hold final authority in all matters related to registration, de-registration, and disciplinary action.

This policy ensures that only genuinely committed students participate in the placement process while actively engaging in continuous upskilling, AI-enabled training, and soft skill development. The Placement Cell endeavours to uphold the reputation of VR Siddhartha Engineering College and strengthen long-term relationships with recruiters, creating a win-win ecosystem for students and industry partners.
