DEPARTMENT OF ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE
   DEPARTMENT LIBRARY REPORT
(2026-2027)

The department maintains a well-equipped Departmental Library in addition to the Central Library, providing dedicated academic, research, and professional development resources for both faculty members and students. With a seating capacity of 18, the library houses 675 books covering a diverse range of subjects. The collection includes academic textbooks and reference materials, research-oriented books, and resources focused on personality development, communication skills, employability, and overall professional growth.

The Departmental Library is intended not only to provide academic resources but also to promote research skills and independent learning among students. Students can refer to senior students’ project reports and records to gain insights into research methodologies, project development, documentation, and practical implementation. These resources help students enhance their technical knowledge, analytical abilities, and research-oriented skills.

The Central Library further supports the learning and research process by providing access to a wide range of digital and scholarly resources, including IEEE, Springer, and Elsevier journals and databases, along with previous question papers, NPTEL video lectures, e-books, e-journals, magazines, and other online learning resources. Access to these reputed international journals and digital databases enables students and faculty members to stay updated with the latest developments in their respective fields, explore current research trends, refer to high-quality scholarly publications, and support their academic and research activities.

A display board has been provided in the department to disseminate important library-related information, such as the number of books available, digital library access details, passwords, and other relevant instructions. The department also continuously purchases additional books and reference materials to enrich the existing collection and meet the evolving academic, research, and professional development needs of students.

Students and faculty members actively utilize the library by spending time reading and referring to books, project reports, and other academic resources. Their enthusiasm and regular participation encourage the department to continuously improve and strengthen the library facilities and resources.

The primary goal of the Departmental Library is to provide quality academic, research, and professional development resources that contribute to the overall growth and career development of students. The library staff provide necessary guidance, supervision, and assistance to help students effectively utilize the available resources. Through continuous enrichment of the collection and improvement of facilities, the department strives to create a supportive environment for learning, research, innovation, and lifelong learning
